Every wire feed clustered into stories — one story, one tile — ranked by severity and velocity, crossed with the source's tier, the country of origin and the countries mentioned.

• At the open: run through the BREAKING and CRITICAL of the last 6 or 12 hours to get the big events instantly.
• When an asset moves for no visible reason: filter on its country through Country pulse, or on the category that could price it (Commodities, Military, Diplomatic).
• To sort rumor from confirmation: a story carried by several high-tier sources doesn't weigh the same as an isolated wire.

Three zones. At the top, the strip: the Category mix ribbon on the left, the KPI panel on the right (clickable, to apply lenses). Below, on the left the stream of asymmetric tiles (one large, two medium, six standard, the rest compact), on the right the sidebar (Trending, Country pulse, Source mix). Clicking a tile opens the detailed drawer at the bottom — the rest of the stream dims to hold the focus.

The header filters

The Category mix ribbon (top left)

Colored cards on two rows — one per category present in the window, the busiest first, each in its own color. Hovering a card gives a tooltip with the category's cluster, article and breaking counts.

The ribbon is a filter shortcut, not an independent counter: its figures always reflect the active time window and the importance chips. It is single-select — it syncs its selection with the dropdown when exactly one category is chosen.

The KPI panel (top right)

Six cells, separated by vertical rules. Breaking, Alerts and Golden are clickable and apply a lens over the stream — the cell lights up while its lens is active, click again to lift it.

The stream (center zone)

The Stream title shows M/N — M clusters after the lens, N before. When a lens is active, the · lens: breaking suffix (or alerts, golden) says so.

Tiles come in four sizes, by decreasing importance: one hero (full width), two feature, six standard, the rest compact. The bigger the tile, the higher the story ranks in the window — BREAKING velocity and the ALERT flag push upward at equal importance.

A BREAKING tile carries a slightly heavier background so it stands out in the grid.

The sidebar (right column)

Three stacked sections, computed over the same time window as the stream.

Trending — a cloud of keywords pulled from the headlines. Each term's size reflects its relative frequency in the window. The color gives the term's velocity: spike (count > 3× baseline), rising (> 2× baseline), stable otherwise. The counter to the right of a word gives the raw mention count.

Country pulse — the top 10 countries by cluster count in the window. Each line: flag, name, a bar proportional to the busiest in the top, a counter. The red segment inside the bar shows that country's share of BREAKING clusters. Click = opens the country on the Monitor map.

Source mix — a stacked bar by source tier across every aggregated article. T4 (golden), T3 (best), T2, T1 (worst). The legend under the bar gives the count per tier. Quick read: the more the bar leans toward T4/T3, the more credible the window's tape.

The drawer (click a tile)

Opens at the bottom, taking the right half of the grid. The rule along the top carries the importance level's color.

The page refreshes automatically every 30 seconds.

• A busy Country pulse row, or a cluster whose flag keeps coming back: Monitor to place it geographically and cross it with the other layers (AIS, flights, seismic). Clicking a Country pulse row takes you straight there.
• A day heavy in Economic with a lot of tier 4: Macro to see whether a major print is behind it, and how the currency has historically reacted.
• A Cyber or Infrastructure narrative gathering velocity: TDI to confirm whether the operational streams (outages, cyber) are accelerating alongside.

• This is a news feed, not analyst verification. BREAKING says the wire is an editorial priority at its source, not that the information is confirmed. The more the Source mix bar leans toward T4/T3 and the more sources the cluster holds, the more the story stands up.
• Low and Info are unchecked by default to keep the noise down. If a window looks empty after filtering by country or category, switch them back on — plenty of routine articles land at those levels.
